Hosted Claude has a narrow visits:write canary: it may prepare and commit an attendance-confirmed Calendar/email visit batch, then preview and commit edits to an existing visit's date/date precision, recommendation, score, note, or note visibility. All other write capability families remain disabled.

Five-minute quick start

You need an active Pearl account and an invitation to the canary. Use this exact server everywhere:

Authentication must open Pearl's browser sign-in and consent screen. Never paste your Pearl password, a Supabase token, an OAuth token, a browser cookie, or a client secret into an agent, terminal command, or support message.

What is live

Every host can use its approved read tools to search and recommend venues and read your own Pearl data. Hosted Claude may also expose visits_import_prepare, visits_import_commit, visits_update_prepare, and visits_update_commit after you reconnect and explicitly approve visits:write. Existing hosted-Claude grants that already include visits:write receive the visit-edit tools without another scope expansion.

Claude can read Calendar or Gmail through Claude's own Google connectors, extract venue evidence, match it against Pearl, and show exact, suggested, ambiguous, unmatched, and duplicate review states. It can include a visit date, whether the exact day is known, recommended/not recommended, a 0–10 score, and a note. Pearl commits only items you separately confirm you actually attended; suggested matches and duplicate warnings require additional specific confirmation. Pearl never receives your Google password or OAuth credentials and does not accept raw email bodies.

The live tool list shown by your agent is authoritative. Some hosts may expose a smaller approved subset.

What is not live

Pearl does not continuously sync or modify Calendar/Gmail, and it does not store raw messages. Deleting a visit, changing its venue, editing dishes/companions/photos, saving/removing places, profile changes, friend requests/responses, calendar changes, reservation or flight booking, payments, and every write outside the approved visit canary remain disabled. A correct response must refuse unavailable actions rather than pretending they succeeded.

Setup by agent

  1. In ChatGPT, enable Developer mode under Settings → Security and login if Pearl is not already available as an invited app.

  2. Open ChatGPT Plugins, select +, and create a connection.

  3. Use:
